The Story
Up in the stand just at sunrise in a moderate rain but very windy. Had to scan all directions constantly because it would have been impossible to hear anything approaching. Happened to glance to the right, spotted the hindquarters of a deer angled away from me approx 25 yds. Turned out to be the buck that started away up a hill through laurel. I grunted, he didn't hear it. So I gave a loud grunt which caused him to turn his head. Having his attention I gave a couple softer grunts to which he came bounding in for a 15 yard double lung shot. Dressed out at 150lbs, 8pts about 4+yrs old.
